Hi Everyone,

I know that I haven't posted in a while. Been crazy busy! I just wanted to tell you all about my newest endeavor. I have taught myself to knit. It is something I always wanted to learn how to do, but never found the time to teach myself. Recently, a wonderful lady that I watch regularly on You Tube, posted some videos on knitting. She has been a total inspiration for me in learning how to knit. Her name is Bev, a.k.a. TheMrsVolfie, and can be found here. I was so inspired by her videos, that I went out and bought me some DPN's (double pointed needles), found a pattern on the internet, and taught myself to knit. Of course, I couldn't just start out with an easy pattern and make a plain ol' scarf or something like that. NO! I had to start out working on 4 needles and knitting socks for Hubby!!! LOL!! Well, I just about have the pair finished. I will post some photos of them. I have also began another knitting adventure making some leg warmers and fingerless gloves for my granddaughter who just started ice skating lessons. I have a leg warmer started and will finish those as time permits in the next week or so. I will show you a picture of what I have done so far and will post new photos when they are finished.

The only thing I can say is that you are never to old to learn something new and if there is something you always wanted to learn how to do, just do it! You might even surprise yourself!!

New!! Wonder Box Thermal Cooker!!

Hi All,

Yes, I know, it has been a while since I last posted. I have had a lot going on. I am in the process of working on a new project. It is called a Wonder Box or a Thermal Cooker.

So what is a Wonder Box you ask? It is a way to save you money on your energy bill. Let's take cooking rice as an example. You know how you have to bring the rice to a boil and then let it simmer for 20 mins  for white rice or even up to 45 mins if you cooking brown rice? Well, with the Wonder Box you just bring your rice to a boil, put a tight fitting lid on the pot just as you would for simmering and then put your pot directly into the Wonder Box, put on the box lid and let it finish cooking in there. Yes, it will take a little longer to finish cooking (approx. 1 hour for white rice), but you are saving money by not having to run your stove for that simmer time. And the best part is, you never have to worry about it burning!!! It's uses are endless! Cook Chili, Roast, Baked Beans, even Bread in it!! There are endless recipes that can be found on the internet!

The Wonder Box is made from 100% Cotton fabric and is insulated with Bean Bag beads.I design them with zippers in both the top and bottom sections so they are fully washable! Just unzip the zipper, empty the beads into a garbage bag or box and wash and dry the cover. Then put the beads back in and your ready to use your Wonder Box again!!

Here are some photos of the Wonder Box.

The box measures: 16 x 16 x 9 (Outside Dimensions)
                             11 x 11 x 5½ (Inside Dimensions)
                             16 x 16 x 7½ (Lid)

(All measurements are approximate)

I will be selling these on my website All for HIS Glory ~ Crafts by Chris in the near future.  Right now I will be taking orders for these from here. These will sell for $30.00 un-stuffed or $65.00 stuffed plus S&H.  If you are interested in purchasing one, you can leave me a message in the comments section or you can use the Buy Now button located at the bottom of this post. Tell me whether you would be interested in either a solid color or a pattern. Also tell me what color (White, Red, Black, Blue, Green, etc.) you would like for a solid color or as the main color in a patterned piece. This can be done in the message to seller area after you click the buy now button or in the comment section here. I am not able, at this time, to give an option for different types of patterns.

No Feature Friday this week

I Don't know for sure if the Feature Friday post is going to continue. I have had no listing to post this week, only 2 the week before and none the week before that. I will have to find a different subject to post on in the next weeks.

So what's new then, you ask? Well, I just started using Listia Which is a site where you can get stuff for free by using credits. You can earn credits to start you off with just by signing up. Then you can earn more credits by giving away things that you don't use anymore. It really is a neat thing. I have listed 10 things in the last week and of the 10, I got rid of 7 making a total of 4420 credits that I can use to get things I can use. Some of the stuff you can get is either free shipping or a minimal shipping charge. You can check it out and sign up by using the link in the right hand column of this blog.

Here are a few of the things that I have listed......
